Last updated: [[EFFECTIVE DATE — set at launch]]
The short version: standard shipping is free on every order. Made-to-order gear takes bench time before it ships — the current estimate is on each product page — and you get a tracking number the moment it leaves the shop.
1. Free standard shipping
Standard shipping is free on all orders shipped within the United States. [[MIKE P: confirm scope — does this include Alaska, Hawaii, and APO/FPO addresses? Do you ship internationally at all, and if so on what terms?]] We ship via major carriers [[MIKE P: confirm — USPS / UPS?]] from our shop in Whiting, New Jersey.
2. When your order ships
Bench time comes first — most of our gear is made after you order it. Every product page shows which build track the item is on and the current estimate:
- Made to Order (custom) — built from scratch to your spec. Current lead time: [[MIKE P: current custom lead time, e.g. "4–6 weeks"]].
- Quick Ship — pre-configured builds with limited options that move to the front of the line. Current lead time: [[MIKE P: quick ship lead time, e.g. "5–7 business days"]].
- Ready to Ship — already made, ships within [[MIKE P: e.g. "1–2 business days"]].
Lead times are our best current estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. If your order is going to run materially past the estimate we gave you when you ordered, we will email you — and you can cancel any item we have not started for a full refund of that item (see our Terms of Service).
Once your order ships you get a shipping-confirmation email with tracking. Transit time after that is in the carrier's hands — we are not responsible for carrier delays, but if a package looks stuck, contact us and we will chase it with you.
3. Bulk and department orders
Bulk orders are made as a batch so everything matches, and ship together to the address on the quote — usually the station. Your quote includes the build timeline for the whole order.
4. Check your address
We ship to the address you give us at checkout, exactly as entered. If you spot a mistake, contact us immediately — we can fix it any time before the label is printed. If a package comes back to us because the address was incorrect or undeliverable, we will reach out; reshipping it may require a new shipping payment.
5. Lost, stolen, or damaged in transit
If your order arrives damaged, or tracking says delivered and it is nowhere to be found, contact us within a few days of the delivery date. Keep the packaging and take photos of any damage — we will file the carrier claim and make it right with a repair, remake, or refund. You will never be stuck fighting a carrier alone over gear we made.
6. Questions
Anything shipping-related we did not cover: [[MIKE P: customer-service email]] or (609) 367-2479.
